Mark Shreeve
Great Yarmouth-born Shreeve started recording cassettes in the early 1980s.
His first cassettes, released by Mirage label were Ursa Major, Embryo, Phantom and Fire Music.
Although Shreeve hails from the UK, his first LP, Thoughts Of War, was released in Norway by Indie label Uniton.
The next album, Assassin was originally released in 83, also by Uniton. Then in 84, Jive Electro signed him up and re-released it. A year later he released Legion followed a couple of years later by Crash Head.
During the late 80s Shreeve also began writing songs for other artists, occasional soundtracks and some library music.
In 95 Shreeve released his last solo album, Nocturne. After this, he went on to form Redshift and continues to this day, releasing albums on his own label. Redshift have released five albums to date: Redshift, Ether, Downtime, Siren and Halo.
Shreeve's music has been likened to Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre and Klaus Schulze.
